Home from Scotland!
Aye Mates! I have returned from my trip to Scotland! It was amazing. Everything there is so different from the U.S. Here are some highlights...pictures will come soon.
1. My brother was in The Comedy Of Errors at the Arches theater in Glasgow. It was an amazing show (of which he performed it for Prince Charles and Camilla tonight!)
2. Meeting my brother's new girlfriend, Lydia. She is lovely and definitely fits in with our family!
3. We went to St. Andrews and stayed at the Old Course Hotel which is a 5 star hotel that is ranked in the top ten in the world! It's located right off of the dorm where Prince William lived at St. Andrews University.
4. Toured the Edinburgh castle which dates back to the 1500's.
5. Drank tea every afternoon. It was sooo relaxing!!!!
6. Being called Miss Ireland by the wierd American Airlines Stewrd who kept hitting on me.
Other fun facts...
1. The Scottish have different words for everything; examples: elevator=lift, drunk driving= drink driving, vacation=holiday.
2. The Scottish restaurants don't believe in salad dressing, however Parmesan cheese is a must have on everything.
3. Scottish people drink all day long. At noon you can't find an empty pub.
4. Instead of thank you, your welcome, hello, goodbye, they say CHEERS!
I will try and post Scotland pictures as soon as my little sister emails them to me.
On other fronts...I just began my summer quarter. I am taking Pediatric Audiology, Sign Language, Pathophysiology, and Professional Issues in Audiology. Also, as always, I will be spending 2 mornings a week in the clinic seeing patients. Seems like the summer won't be too bad. I can handle being in school full time when 3 day weekends are involved.
Hope all is well for everyone! Cheers!
