A Sad Story...

Well, I experienced my first heartbreaking audiology case today. I had a middle-aged male patient was bilateral acoustic tumors. If the tumors aren't removed he will die, however, when the tumors are removed he will be completely deaf. Seeing him and his wife sit across from me with tears in their eyes really put life in perspective for me today. Can you imagine knowing you have a limited time left to hear? Your wife, your children, music, etc. I can't imagine.

Ya know how sometimes you just need those experiences to make you realize how petty the worthless crap you complain about is? Well, my useless crap today seemed extra useless so I am feeling very grateful for everything I have. God bless!
