I MET KELLY FROM BIGGEST LOSER!!!!

Most of you probably know that I LOVE TV. One of my favorite shows is NBC's Biggest Loser. All season long I wanted Kelly to win. This morning I saw on TV that there was a Health and Fitness Expo at the Miami Beach Convention Center and it was free. I thought, what the hell, and went. I got my blood pressure, cholesterol, and many other things screened. It turns out I have really high cholesterol (which I will be getting check per the doctor's recommendation) and low blood sugar. So I was leaving the expo around noon pretty upset that my health, which I thought was great, was in fact not so good. As I am walking out I turn around and there is Kelly from the Biggest Loser signing autographs and pictures. I was sooo excited. I went up and talked to her...got my picture with her and her autograph. She is just as nice as she seemed on TV. And she has lost more weight...she looks amazing! All in all it was a good day but looks like I will be heading to the doctor this week. Happy Sunday everyone!

Wow. I'm a clutz!

So...I was walking from my car into my friend Katy's apartment building last night when I had to stop and wait to cross the street. As I was waiting for the light to change a truck load of men decided to whistle and yell things at me out the window. This must have really caught me off guard because I ended up tripping, rolling my ankle and falling flat on my face. Not to mention the fact that I was carrying a water bottle when I fell. The water bottle then got a hole in the bottom and started spraying water all over me. There I stood on the corner of a busy intersection in South Beach with skinned knees (one was bleeding), wet pants, a twisted ankle and no pride. I had to share this story because you all know I trip and fall often and this was one of my better falls. =)

Have a great weekend!

Beach adventures with Megan and Stawoj

Stacey and I have nothing but fun adventures when we head to the beach. Stacey bought us some tropical drinks to add to our already perfect beach day.

Lauren is a cake making genius!

How amazing is this clown cake that my sister made? She started culinary school in January. She's absolutely amazing.

Cruise Photo

Blog slacker

Despite having abundant amounts of time on my hands in Miami, I have neglected my blog. I think now that I am transitioning into a new stage of my life I should resurrect the blog. In the past few months I have been traveling a lot and having many visitors. The craziness began when Lisa came to visit for a few days and we took a 3 day Bahamas cruise. We had a blast! Then I flew to Charlotte, North Carolina for the American Academy of Audiology Convention. I am not sure if I learned a lot but I put my resume out there and consumed free beverages. I flew directly from Charlotte to Chicago for a job interview. I am supposed to find out about the job this week so please keep your fingers crossed. I then flew back to Miami (of course I was one of the American Airlines passengers whose flight was canceled). I was then joined one hour later by Stacey who came to visit for 5 days. We had a blast just hanging out, eating, drinking, and tanning. That's pretty much it for now. I am just waiting to hear about a job and counting down the days until I graduate (53 to be exact!).

I am really looking forward to graduation. Not only because I have been in school FOREVER, but because I am really excited about starting a new chapter of my life. (Although I would be more excited if I had a job!).

That's all for now.
